You know everyone thinks you’re crazy right?

Network Marketing these days has turned into a joke.

Now before you think I’m going to rip you a new one, hear me out.

You tell people you’re a network marketer and they look at you like you’re a science experiment gone wrong.

“Oh, you’re in one those things…”

Or

“My mother’s friends’ cousins’ dog did one of those for like a month and never saw any success.”

Or how about this one?

“That’s one of those pyramid scheme things isn’t it?”

How many of those types of comments or questions are you hit with when you tell someone you’re building the business of your dreams?

People think you’re crazy because they’ve seen you go from door to door practically begging for people to join your business or buy your product.

People think you’re crazy because they’ve seen you fail and fail again at this thing and they still don’t know why you won’t give up.

It’s because you know there’s more to life than working 40-60 hours a week, building someone else’s dream.

You know there’s something you can do to create not just financial freedom, but the time freedom to spend with the people most important to you.

That’s why I created Smart Network Marketer.

I made this site and all this free content and training with you in mind.

You see…

I’ve been there.

I’ve burned bridges and hurt those closest to me because I was such a noob at MLM and online marketing.

I didn’t have the slightest clue as to how to build a profitable business.  I ran my reputation into the ground as well as my bank account.

I ran up those credit cards just to keep doing what I was doing…. The wrong thing.

Let me tell you a little bit about the person I was 8-10 years ago:

For all intents and purposes of this conversation between you and I…,  I was a loser.

I was fresh out of highschool with no good prospects.

I barely graduated by the skin of my teeth, and that after not being able to walk at graduation because I had to take summer school to complete my required credits to receive my diploma.

For years afterward, I would bounce between jobs, plunge what few relationships into deeper and muddier depths, make extremely poor financial decisions, and all around create the low-quality life I had once known.

Fast forward a couple years.

I’m introduced to a man named Pastor Dave.

This man was awesome and a true inspiration to my life.

You see…  I was severely depressed and came damn close to doing something very stupid and selfish that would have ended my life and ruin others.  ( I don’t mean to downplay suicide, but that’s as much as I’ll write on that subject on this intro page…  If you want to know more about that time in my life then feel free to find me on Facebook or Google+ and ask me about it.)

Anyway, I was a messed up individual and I didn’t think I was worth anyone’s time.

That’s why I was so inspired by Pastor Dave.

He saw something in me.  He reached out to me and invited me to a Men’s Study Group.

It was the first time in years that anyone reached out to me and thought I was worth their time.  It was the first time a man took me under their figurative wing and nurtured me on a profound level.

Pastor Dave started to mentor me.

He equipped me with books and introduced me to wonderful authors and thought leaders such John C. Maxwell and Brian Tracy.

He saw to it that I had no choice but to grow into the man that he knew I could become.

I will never forget that.

He ignited the spark within me that would eventually burn into the wild forest fire that is my passion for leadership and personal and professional development.

Fast forward a few years after that and here we are today.  Because of that one man and the impact he had on me, I’ve amassed a library of hundreds of books on a wide variety of subjects ranging from spirituality and philosophy, historical accounts and autobiographies, psychology, sales, and the success and achievement mindset.

I’ve made it my mission to find out why people do the things they do and behave the way they do.
